One of the biggest challenges of Web3 today is the complexity of interacting with crypto wallets. Seed phrases, high transaction costs, and the inability to restore access after losing a key create barriers for mainstream users.

In the classic Ethereum model, there are two types of accounts:

The main advantage: no protocol changes were required in Ethereum itself, which accelerated adoption.

Multi-factor authentication: FaceID, email, or hardware keys
Transaction automation: subscriptions, recurring payments, automated DeFi interactions

This is a shift from “a technical tool for developers” to a familiar fintech-like experience, making digital asset management intuitive.
Today, wallets generally fall into two categories:
Custodial (Binance, Coinbase Wallet)
Non-custodial (Metamask, Ledger)
ERC-4337 enables a hybrid approach: users keep control of their funds while enjoying custodial-level convenience.
